# ancha execution

> Check whether contained local execution is available, prepare the local container runtime for playground runs, and list Ancha's containers.

`ancha execution` manages the local container runtime that playground runs and container agents use. Plain `ancha run` with a host-process agent does not need it.

## ancha execution doctor

ancha execution doctor [options]
```

Reports whether a Docker engine is available. Without one, it exits `3`:

Install Docker or Colima to run contained agents.
```

A passing `doctor` only shows that Docker answers; `prepare` and `ancha playground readiness` check the rest.

## ancha execution prepare

```bash theme={null}
ancha execution prepare [options]
```

A one-time setup per project, not per task. It needs Docker with Compose and Python 3.12 or later. It installs the runtime under `.ancha/harbor-runtime` in the current project and builds the image that serves the tools inside attempts.

## ancha execution list

ancha execution list [options]
```

Lists containers Ancha created and still holds, for example after an interrupted run.

## Docker context

Ancha uses the Docker context in `ANCHA_DOCKER_CONTEXT` if set, otherwise a context named `colima-ancha` if one exists, otherwise your current context. It never downloads images during an attempt: pull the base images you use in advance.
