> ## Agent Instructions
> These docs describe the Ancha CLI, npm package @ancha-labs/cli version 0.1.4, and the hosted workspace at app.ancha.io. Coding agents should start at https://docs.ancha.io/coding-agents. Run the CLI as `ancha` after `npm install -g @ancha-labs/cli`, or as `npx -y @ancha-labs/cli@0.1.4` without installing. Pass --json for machine-readable output, or set ANCHA_JSON=1. Every command ends with a `next:` line naming the next command. Exit codes: 0 pass, 1 a check failed or a comparison regressed, 2 usage, config or authentication error, 3 infrastructure error, 4 unimplemented endpoint with --strict.

# ancha sandbox

> Start seeded tools without a scene or checks: pick tools or a preset, connect any client, inspect the records and the calls it made, fork fresh copies, and reset.

A sandbox is a live set of tools with starter data, for exploring by hand or pointing an agent at outside a test. Sandboxes have no task and no checks; they are never graded.

Start a server first with [`ancha serve`](https://docs.ancha.io/cli/serve). Every subcommand takes `--json`.

## ancha sandbox presets

```bash theme={null}
ancha sandbox presets [options]
```

```text Output theme={null}
operations      Engineering workspace         slack, github, datadog, pagerduty
b2b-salesforce  Salesforce revenue workspace  linkedin-ads, salesforce, gong, google-ads, chatgpt-ads, ga4
b2b-hubspot     HubSpot revenue workspace     linkedin-ads, hubspot, gong, google-ads, chatgpt-ads, ga4
```

## ancha sandbox datasets

```bash theme={null}
ancha sandbox datasets [options]
```

```text Output theme={null}
slack         slack-starter         1.1.0  Slack starter data
github        github-starter        1.1.0  GitHub starter data
...
```

## ancha sandbox configuration

```bash theme={null}
ancha sandbox configuration [options]
```

| Option | Description |
| - | - |
| `--tools <names>` | Comma-separated tool names |
| `--preset <id>` | Compatible starter workspace |
| `--name <name>` | Sandbox name |

Prints a portable configuration without starting anything. With `--json`, save it to a file, edit the datasets, and start a sandbox from it:

```bash theme={null}
ancha sandbox configuration --preset b2b-salesforce --json > revenue.json
ancha sandbox create --definition revenue.json --name Revenue
```

## ancha sandbox create

```bash theme={null}
ancha sandbox create [options]
```

| Option | Description |
| - | - |
| `--preset <id>` | Compatible starter workspace |
| `--tools <names>` | Comma-separated tool names |
| `--definition <file>` | Pinned JSON or YAML sandbox configuration |
| `--name <name>` | Sandbox name |
| `--seed <seed>` | Deterministic seed (default: "explore-1") |
| `--ttl <duration>` | Lease from 1s to 24h (default: "1h") |

```bash theme={null}
ancha sandbox create --preset operations --name "Docs ops"
```

```text Output theme={null}
Docs ops · 8qjfxgee
Tools: slack, github, datadog, pagerduty
Ungraded sandbox
Connect: ancha sandbox connections 8qjfxgee
Inspect: ancha sandbox inspect 8qjfxgee
```

Choose tools with `--tools slack,github`, a `--preset`, or a `--definition` file. The lease defaults to one hour.

## ancha sandbox connections

```bash theme={null}
ancha sandbox connections [options] <id>
```

Prints the variables your agent needs, one `NAME=value` per line, ready to export:

```text Output theme={null}
SLACK_API_URL=http://127.0.0.1:4400/e/8qjfxgee/slack/api/
SLACK_BOT_TOKEN=<fake token>
SLACK_SIGNING_SECRET=<fake secret>
SLACK_APP_TOKEN=<fake token>
...
```

## ancha sandbox inspect

```bash theme={null}
ancha sandbox inspect [options] <id>
```

| Option | Description |
| - | - |
| `--tool <name>` | Inspect one selected tool |

Prints the current records as tables, for example Slack's channels and messages. Use it to see what your agent changed.

## ancha sandbox activity

```bash theme={null}
ancha sandbox activity [options] <id>
```

| Option | Description |
| - | - |
| `--after <sequence>` | Last sequence already read (default: "0") |

```text Output theme={null}
1  slack  POST  /api/conversations.list  200
2  slack  POST  /api/chat.postMessage    200
```

Each line is a sequence number, tool, method, path and status. Pass `--after <n>` to read only newer calls.

## ancha sandbox advance

```bash theme={null}
ancha sandbox advance [options] <id>
```

| Option | Description |
| - | - |
| `--by <duration>` | Advance simulated time, e.g. 2m |

```text Output theme={null}
Advanced bvvjylio to 120s.
```

Moves the sandbox's simulated clock forward, for data that becomes available over time, such as a delayed Gong transcript or a pending ad review. It does not deliver ads or create new reporting data.

## ancha sandbox fork

```bash theme={null}
ancha sandbox fork [options] <id>
```

| Option | Description |
| - | - |
| `--count <number>` | Fresh copies, 1 to 20 (default: "1") |
| `--name <name>` | New name |

```bash theme={null}
ancha sandbox fork bvvjylio --count 2
```

Creates up to 20 fresh copies of the sandbox's original data, without the changes made since. Forking starts no agent.

## ancha sandbox reset

```bash theme={null}
ancha sandbox reset [options] <id>
```

```text Output theme={null}
Reset bvvjylio to its original tool data.
```

Restores the tools' starter data and IDs. Your agent's own files and memory are not reset.

## ancha sandbox show, list and delete

```bash theme={null}
ancha sandbox show [options] <id>
```

```bash theme={null}
ancha sandbox list [options]
```

```bash theme={null}
ancha sandbox delete [options] <id>
```

`show --json` returns the exact active configuration and its fingerprint. Sandboxes also end when the server stops.
